EvalTools IIS - AAS

EvalTools® AAS is unique in identifying a user's role in your school once the user logs in. EvalTools® AAS gives Provosts, Deans, Chairs, program directors, faculty members, and students each their own relevant features once logged in. Features available to each user are hierarchical, much like that of your school. The Provost/Deans can see data at all levels. Chairs can see data at the departmental level and a faculty member can only see data at the chair level. EvalTools® AAS provides features grouped in "Offices" much like the functional units at school as follows:

    • Provost/Dean's Office
    • Chair's Office
    • Faculty's Office
    • Secretary's Office
    • Student Desk

Key Advantages:

  1. By consolidating data into different offices, it is clear and easier to monitor data and results of activities of the relevant individuals.
  2. Faculty learning plans are saved and documented. It is also easier for the next teacher to pick up where a former instructor may have left off.
 Provost/Dean's Office:
The Dean's Office is the central location where all the course assessment survey results are tabulated over terms to provide a longitudinal view of the university's teaching evaluation data at a departmental level or at a college level. It has three main features:
    • College teaching rating—top level overview of each department's teaching evaluation data over terms; a comparative view of teaching among departments
    • Faculty's teaching rating—drill-down capability for the individual faculty's detailed teaching records over terms
    • Report manager—advanced reporting features that include a curriculum outcome matrix, survey results in Word format, trend analysis report, etc.

 Chair's Office:
Chair Office consists of similar features as those of the Dean's Office.  It has three main features:
    • Department teaching rating—top level overview of the department's teaching evaluation data over terms
    • Faculty's teaching rating—drill-down capability for the individual faculty's detailed teaching records over terms
    • Report manager—advanced reporting features that include a curriculum outcome matrix, survey results in Word format, trend analysis report, etc.

 Secretary's Office

Secretary's Office: shares the functions of the Chair's Office. But, the Secretary's Office has the capability to assist any faculty member within the department to enter course information/syllabi. This provides a centralized effort to enter course information for survey deployment without an additional burden on individual faculty members.

 Teacher's Office

EvalTools® has provided reporting features in the Faculty's Office to make it easy for faculty members to produce any teaching evaluation records. The report can assist a faculty member in self-evaluation or for rank application. In addition, the faculty site features allow easy access to the following:

    • Set up course information (syllabus) for each class
    • Monitor setup status and track class response rate
